1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing our content, or using any of our services (including but not limited to blog posts, market analysis, trading signals, and subscription features), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

2. Scope and Status

Our platform currently provides access to editorial content (blog posts). We are developing features such as thread-like posts, commenting, and subscription-based access to real-time ticker data and proposed buy/sell signals. Those features are not yet available. These Terms primarily cover the currently available features. As we launch new features, we will update these Terms and indicate the effective date of changes.

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our services. By using BullBearStock, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Registration

• You may create an account using your email and password, or by signing in with Google or Facebook.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.2A OAuth Authentication (Google & Facebook)

When you register or sign in using Google or Facebook OAuth:

• Authorization: You authorize us to access the data you permit Google or Facebook to share (email, name, profile picture)
• Third-Party Terms: Your use of Google and Facebook for authentication is also governed by their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
• Account Linking: Your BullBearStock account will be linked to your Google or Facebook account. You can unlink this connection at any time through your account settings or by revoking access in your Google/Facebook account settings
• Email Verification: Accounts created via OAuth are automatically verified since Google and Facebook verify email addresses
• Provider Responsibility: We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of Google or Facebook authentication services. If these services are unavailable, you may be temporarily unable to access your account
• Account Recovery: If you lose access to your Google or Facebook account, you may not be able to access your BullBearStock account. Contact us for assistance in such cases

3.2B Account Deletion and Data Rights

• Self-Service Deletion: You can delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account
• OAuth Data Deletion: When you delete your account, we will anonymize your email and name, remove OAuth provider links, and delete optional data within 30 days
• Delete via Provider: You can also request data deletion directly through Google or Facebook. We provide data deletion endpoints that handle requests from these providers
• Retained Data: Some anonymized data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., financial records for tax purposes), security, and fraud prevention
• Effect of Deletion: Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all features and content associated with your account. This action cannot be undone

3.3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws)
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the services or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

4. User Content (future)

When threads and comments are introduced, you will retain ownership of your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content in connection with providing the service. We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content that we create or provide (including site design, text, graphics, logos, and software) is owned by BullBearStock or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

6. No Financial Advice

Information provided on our platform is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Markets involve risk, including the potential loss of principal.

7. Third-Party Brokerage Integration

BullBearStock offers an optional feature that allows you to connect your third-party brokerage account (currently Trading212) to our platform. By connecting your brokerage account, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

7.1 API Credential Storage and Consent

• To enable the integration, you must provide your brokerage API credentials (API key). These credentials are stored on our servers using industry-standard encryption at rest.
• By submitting your API credentials, you expressly consent to their storage and use as described in this section.
• You are solely responsible for generating, managing, and revoking your API credentials through your brokerage account.
• You should only provide API credentials with the minimum permissions required for the features you intend to use on our platform.

7.2 Authorised Actions on Your Behalf

By connecting your brokerage account, you expressly authorise BullBearStock to use your API credentials to perform the following actions on your behalf:

• Retrieve account data: Including portfolio positions, account balances, and transaction history
• Execute buy and sell orders: Based on your instructions or configured trading strategies
• Access market data: To display relevant trading information within our platform

You may revoke this authorisation at any time by disconnecting your brokerage account through your account settings.

7.3 User Responsibility and Risk Acknowledgement

• Trading Risk: All trades executed through our platform carry inherent financial risk, including the potential loss of your entire investment. BullBearStock is not a financial advisor, broker, or dealer. We do not provide investment advice or recommendations.
• No Guarantee of Execution: We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or success of any trade execution. Network delays, API rate limits, or third-party service interruptions may affect order processing.
• Your Decisions: You are solely responsible for all trading decisions and their financial outcomes, whether initiated manually or through automated strategies configured on our platform.
• API Key Security: You are responsible for keeping your API credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorised access, revoke your API key immediately through your brokerage account and disconnect the integration on our platform.

7.4 Third-Party Brokerage Terms

• Your brokerage account is governed by your agreement with your broker (e.g., Trading212). You must comply with their Terms of Service and API usage policies at all times.
• BullBearStock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Trading212 or any other brokerage. We are an independent platform that integrates with third-party services via their publicly available APIs.
• We are not responsible for any actions taken by your brokerage, including account restrictions, API access revocations, or service disruptions.

7.5 Disconnection and Credential Deletion

You may disconnect your brokerage account at any time through your account settings. Upon disconnection, your stored API credentials will be permanently and immediately deleted from our servers. Any pending or queued orders at the time of disconnection may not be cancelled automatically — you should verify your open positions directly with your broker.

8. Donations

We gratefully accept voluntary donations to support our mission of creating educational content and maintaining our platform. Donations are separate from any subscription services and are governed by our specific Donation Terms & Conditions.

9. Subscriptions (future)

When subscription plans become available, they may auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Pricing, billing cycles, refunds, and cancellation terms will be disclosed at checkout and incorporated into these Terms.

10. Service Changes

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. Beta or preview features may be offered on an "as is" basis without guarantees.

11. Disclaimers

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BullBearStock and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BullBearStock from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting, with the "Last updated" date refreshed below. Material changes may be highlighted.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of your jurisdiction unless otherwise required by mandatory law. Venue and jurisdiction will be as permitted under such laws.
